Be a community health partner for the kids
Tying your chiropractic office promotions to local and seasonal events and issues effectively engages your practice with your community.
A major issue in most communities is the quality of education our children receive in our schools. According to a study published by the Century Foundation, the United States is under-funding its K-12 public schools by nearly $150 billion annually, “robbing more than 30 million school children of the resources they need to succeed in the classroom.”*
We recommend working with your local schools to help provide needed supplies for the school, teachers, or children.
It can also be an opportunity to support the parents and children of your practice by offering backpack checks to see how well they fit on the child’s back and to offer screenings and adjustments.
This type of promotion positions you as a constructive part of the local community. It is also just a good thing to do!
It is not a direct marketing campaign, though it can generate new patients. But establishing positive relations supports all the other marketing and word-of-mouth advertising that you generate.
Below are some links that will take you to sample posters and fliers to help you design your campaign.
I suggest you contact your local principal and tell them that you want to do a donation drive for school supplies, teachers, backpacks, or whatever they suggest. Based on what they want, work out your promotion.
Ask if you can quote them what they need and why. Then, promote this in your newsletter and social media.
Give this project to a team member or two and let them get on with it. Define the desired outcome, such as # of supplies donated or # of kids screened.
Children are our future, and they depend upon all of us to help them mature as healthy as possible.
For a better future,
Ed
