Each student and clinic owner learned practical information and tools and had a great time in the process.  Everyone had many successes, and judging from the practice numbers, so did the clinics.

Some of the principles and ideas were familiar, others were brand new. I always learned or took away something new. One tool I have been implementing is the five minute daily briefing meetings with the Clinic Director. Meeting with Doctor Brown more regularly to address training, patient care, etc. has helped as both learn and catch weak areas sooner. The format was relatively simple and easy to digest. I liked getting to know new people and hear about their offices. It was fun to collaborate and learn from one another. I learned a lot about myself as a doctor and a leader, mostly how much I still need to learn. I am excited to take what I have learned and apply it into the office.

"I, along with my office manager and an associate doctor, took the Goal Driven MBA course because I needed more instruction for my team to level up their management skills without taking up too much of my time. What I appreciated most was the accountability built into the program. My staff had to report back every week, which kept them on track and ensured follow-through. The course was extremely manageable. It didn’t overwhelm me with impossible tasks but helped me break things down into bite-sized pieces. It provided the clarity I needed, especially when it came to managing by the numbers. We’ve always kept stats, but now we’re breaking them down further by individual profit centers, which gave me an eye-opening view of where we needed to improve—especially retention. I particularly enjoyed being paired with a partner and working closely with them throughout the duration of the class. The format of the class, which included zoom meetings and individual meetings with each member to discuss strategies that work for our clinics, was extremely helpful. The homework assignments were thought-provoking and encouraged us to critically think about our goals. Overall, I believe this course would be valuable for anyone seeking additional training.

The class has helped me to set goals for the clinic and for myself. I learned how to organize the goals by how important and by how urgent they are. We have a set mission statement and 9 core values that we treat like goals. The entire staff is aware of the clinic goals, their personal goals at the clinic and our values. This has helped tremendously. They know exactly what our expectations are and where we want the clinic to go in the future.
